Audio enthusiasts have a new solution with Martin Logan’s ElectroMotion C2 and FX2 surround and center speakers with are based on electrostatic and compact folded motion thin film transducer technologies. Martin Logan says this is the first time such technologies are available in non-floorstanding speakers, which alone makes them worth checking out. The series features push-style speaker terminals, curved inserts and removable rubber end caps.
The 94dB-rated EM-C2 is sized to fit within any standard audio-video cabinet. The center channel speaker offers balanced dual 5.25-inch doped fiber-cone woofer and Folded Motion XT tweeter.The XT tweeter has a radiating surface 40-percent larger than found on Martin Logan’s previous Motion series.
The EM-FX2 is designed for surrounded channel applications requiring a corner mount, wall mount or angle-wall mount. Available in white or black, the speaker features a 6.5-inch doped fiber-cone woofer for low-frequency extension.
The ElectroMotion C2 and FX2 priced at $799.95 and $649.95 respectively are available at high-performance audio retailers.
