Are you ready to rock into 2013? You may want to pick up Marshall’s Hanwell Anniversary Edition loudspeaker. The company just announced that the speaker is now selling in AC Gears, J&R, Fred Segel, Urban Outfitters online, and more.
However, this isn’t just some novelty speaker; it’s actually the first hi-fi home audio product to bear the Marshall logo.
Promising that trademark Marshall tone, each Hanwell has two 6-inch long-throw woofers and two ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeters driven by a 100-watt amp. The unit also comes packing a frequency response of 35Hz-20kHz (+/-5dB).
All of that speaker technology is packed into a very familiar package—familiar to all of you guitar heroes out there. The cabinet is made of wood, covered in vinyl, and comes with its own numbered commemorative badge. The speaker also has an analog power switch and controls for volume, bass and treble. Other features include a fret cloth and gold logo, as well as a body that’s outlined in gold piping.
Marshall is selling the Hanwell now, with an MSRP of $800.
