Marantz’s VP-11S1 projector
Here’s an upconversion for video enthusiasts. Marantz America has introduced upgraded version of its VP-11S1 front projector, which now features HDMI 1.3 inputs along with the standard’s Deep Color and 12-bit color depth technologies, the company says.
The upgraded VP-11S1 is now shipping at an MSRP that remains at $19,999. In addition, the company will also support consumers who have already purchased the previous version of the projector through an upgrade plan, which it will release pricing details of shortly.
The VP-11S1 single-chip DLP projector also incorporates several features that includes the ability to upconvert all video sources to 1080p, a full 1920x1080 HD compatible pixel resolution, and Marantz’s Vertical Stretch mode that eliminates the black borders on widescreen movies when viewed on a 2.35:1 screen, the company says.
