HybridSpace Furniture’s ‘Man Wall’
Who needs a Man Cave when you can have a “Man Wall”?
It’s the brainchild of Bradenton, Fla., company HybridSpace Furniture and if you want all things manly in your own private living room paradise, the Man Wall has it all.
The 2 x 8 x 8-foot piece is a fully integrated solution that combines cabinet, A/V and much more that you may not have considered (or considered and couldn’t fit) for your man cave.
For starters, this ultimate sports fan’s fantasy features a 52-inch Vizio LCD as the centerpiece eye candy, surrounded by three more smaller Vizios. On the audio side, you get a 5-disc 1080p upconverting DVD player, iPod docking station and 1,200-watt Panasonic 5.1 theater system and a pair of wireless surround speakers. All of the cabling is completely hidden.
A matrix splitter allows all four TVs to be operated by one remote control—but if you don’t feel like channel surfing you can always look up at the 7-foot sports ticker that’s operated by a built-in computer (you get one year of free sports ticker service included).
“This is the Taj Mahal of Man Room accessories, it has everything but the kitchen sink and we only left that out to make room for the full-size kegerator,” said co-designer Vince Caruso.
That’s right, he said kegorator. Because watching sports isn’t enough enjoyment on its own, you’ve got plenty of, um, accessories to keep you occupied. That includes a microwave oven, two cigar humidors that hold 25 cigars apiece, a 32-bottle wine rack, and a fridge with built in beer keg and tap.
And it can all be yours for $14,900 (plus shipping), beginning July 1, 2009. Of course, if you want to customize your order Hybrid Space says it will accommodate—with more TVs, a fireplace, team colors and more. And no, the La-Z-Boy’s not included.
