Fancy yourself a movie reviewer? Now you may actually have an audience.

You can stop yelling at the TV screen; now there’s a slew of movie watchers out there that may want to hear your opinion. Lycos has enabled real-time chat for movie watchers everywhere.

Lycos Cinema will allow users to create password-protected Screening Rooms, where they can watch streaming video while chatting with others online. It’s like “Mystery Science Theater 3000”—except probably not that funny.

Don’t expect to find a ton of top-shelf selections. Probably the most regonizable title I could find in the 190 titles was perfect chat fodder, “Night of the Living Dead.”

Lycos expects to add more titles in the coming weeks.

  • Free service

  • Currently in beta

  • 190 titles available
