The iPad is slowly becoming the preferred method of home control. OK—the move isn’t all that slow. Apps are actually popping up all the time, and the latest comes from Lutron.
The company just announced availability of an iPad app for the RadioRA 2 total light control system. This new app allows homeowners to control lights, shades, temperature and appliances. Of course, you’ll need an iPad, as well as Lutron’s RadioRA 2 setup.
Those two items make this app a no-brainer. Aside from control inside the house, this app provides a peek and control options while you’re away from home. You can even use the app for multiple homes, making it key for owners of multiple properties or travelers. Other features include personalized programming and an energy-saving “green” mode.
RadioRA 2 owners can download the compatible iPad app now at iTunes for $19.99.
