Logic’s Bolt can make calls and cast images 36 to 64 inches and beyond.
There are a lot of products we’d love to see combine into one. TV/popcorn maker? Check. Web-enabled massage chair? Absolutely. Fax machine/meat slicer? Well, maybe not.
However, there was one combo that we didn’t even think of: the projector/phone. Logic Wireless did, and they call it the Bolt. The unit is sort of like carrying a big screen in your pocket… one that can make and take calls.
Logic says the unit can cast images 36 to 64 inches. We’re not sure what kind of quality to expect, but it has to be a whole lot better than watching something on your cell phone’s screen. Logic says that the unit can also play a 2-hour movie, as well as share business apps and cell phone pics.
Other features include a 3-megapixel camera, a touchscreen, and support for GPS, Bluetooth and web access.
The unit will run about $600, but you can score one for $100 with a 2-year service contract. The Bolt is compatible with GSM carriers, such as T-Mobile and AT&T. The company is planning to expend its carrier network at some point.
