The DX-4O1S is brought to you by the combo effort of Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions (PLDS) USA.
Some of you have already made the leap to Blu-ray; now it’s time to pimp your PC with the Lite-On DX-4O1S.
The DX-4O1S is a Philips/Lite-On joint, which falls under the name of Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions (PLDS). This is the team’s first external BD-ROM drive.
You can flip flop the drive to any PC with a USB 2.0 connection. So next time you have to spend a holiday weekend at your parents’ place; this might be more necessary than your toothbrush.
The $300 package will also come with Cyberlink Power DVD software. Too bad it doesn’t come with a rebate.
Expect the DX-4O1S Blu-ray BD-ROM drive to hit retail shelves in March.
