Linear Unveils CD and MP3 Music Source for DMC Intercom Systems
Convert your older intercom system into an MP3-playing music system.
July 10, 2013 by Grant Clauser

Owners of select Linear intercom and music systems can now make an easy upgrade to play music from their MP3 players or smart phones.

Linear’s DMCMP3 product is a multiroom CD and digital device music player that mounts into the wall. It can integrate with new or existing DMC master units and works as an accessory to DMC1 and DMC3-4 systems.

To turn an intercom system into a whole-house music system, the Linear product can access a range of intercom and door speakers as well as audio-enabled patio and standard room stations, up to 15 zones. It can play back CDs and radio. For MP3 listening you connect your smartphone or MP3 player via the headphone jack. A USB port is provided to charge your device (the USB doesn’t offer a digital connection to your phone).  A shelf is built into the unit to rest your phone or MP3 player while it’s connected to the system.

The DMCMP3 includes five control buttons and comes in three different colors: almond, white or black.
