Microsoft has confirmed that it will release a limited edition red Xbox 360 on March 13 to commemorate the launch of Resident Evil 5, Capcom’s first version of the game on Xbox.

According to Major Nelson‘s Larry Hryb, the bundle will include:

  • Matching wireless controller
  • 120GB hard drive
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
  • Exclusive Resident Evil 5 dashboard theme
  • Wired headset
  • And Resident Evil 5, of course

The bundle is priced at just $399, which is what gamers pay for a standard Xbox 360 Elite console with Kung Fu Panda and LEGO Indiana Jones.

The red Xbox has been rumored about for some time. Ars Technica confirmed the rumors when it was sent a retail listing from Toys “R” Us for the limited edition Xbox.
