LG to Show World’s Slimmest LED LCD
The LH95 will make its big debut, with an extremely small profile.

LG will have the LH95 on display at next week’s Consumer Electronics Show.

No matter how much you suck it in, you will never be as thin as LG’s LH95. It’s true. At a mere 24.8mm thick, this thin-as-a-pin unit just might hold the title as the slimmest LED-backlit LCD—at least until we see what else CES 2009 will hold.

The Boy Genius Report says that the manufacturer plans to put the unit out there for thousands to smudge starting next week, when the show kicks off. Aside from the profile, the unit also boasts a 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and LG’s 240Hz TrueMotion Drive technology.

It looks real pretty, but of course, there’s not much other info—including how soon you can expect to see the unit (will it even be in the U.S.?) or how much it will cost. After all, they need something for the execs to talk about when they hit the show floor. Stay tuned.

Canon must be putting the breeze up the big boys,
first Sony tried to overcome LCD’S big blur problem
with 120hz, then when people realised that was just
a marketing gimmick, tried to give the so called new
method validity by doubling it to 240hz,  this again has
proven to be a fizz,  in a last desperate effort, LG has
decided to go all out with 480hz!!, what a joke this is
turning out to be,  the real reason for this stupidity is
the imminent arrival of SED in 2009, the factory is up and running, all the technology is ready for the big launch,
will it be CES2009? only Canon knows when,  but it
will be in 2009 sometime.
