Just in case you didn’t find Ultra High Definition to be drool-worthy enough, LG Electronics is making the technology wireless—at least for a demo. The company is currently out at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 in Barcelona, showing off possibilities for Wireless Ultra HD Transmission technology.

The demo shows how someone can beam smartphone content to a 4K TV. LG is specifically showing off how users can view games on Ultra HD TVs in real time via wireless data transfer. However, the tech could be used for almost any smartphone content.

Wireless Ultra HD Transmission technology boasts a fast, smooth transfer, with minimal lag and data loss. During that transfer, the content is automatically adjusted to match the receiving TV’s resolution.

“Thanks to our innovative Wireless Ultra HD Transmission technology, users can now enjoy their favorite mobile content on today’s most advanced Ultra HD TVs,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “With the development of this cutting-edge technology, LG again confirms its industry leadership in the area of display and mobile convergence for a truly enjoyable viewing experience.”

Naturally, there’s no word on when Wireless Ultra HD Transmission technology would or could make it into the home. If you’re in Barcelona, you can get a taste of the technology at MWC, which runs through tomorrow.
