If you’re an Xbox 360 gamer in the Asian Pacific subcontinent, you may soon be a very happy camper.
Thanks to a translated Flickr post from “LGEPR”, details regarding a marketing partnership between Microsoft and LG Electronics will bundle 3D versions of six Xbox 360 games with their 55- and 47-inch LED 3D TVs from the LX9500 line.
There’s no mention of any new Xbox 360 hardware requirements, so here’s to hoping the hardware is already capable (ala PS3) with some sort of software or firmware update. That’s the good news.
The bad news is, so far, only South Korea is mentioned specifically as a target market, with the rest of Asia Pacific mentioned as a possible expansion market. It makes perfect sense for LG to start on its home turf, and an eventual U.S. and European roll-out of similar programs also is logical. We’re keeping our fingers crossed.
