All three of LG’s new LCDs boast a 10,000:1 contrast ratio.
LG is done taunting us with possible new releases. The company just announced that the three monitors they promised back in January are now actually available.
“LG Electronics appeals to the consumer by merging superior technologies and contrast ratios with stunning design,” said Marc Sorkin, senior marketing manager for IT products, LG Electronics USA, Inc. “LG’s new monitors have taken cues from our trend-setting line of LG HDTVs and, as a result, look terrific in the home or office.”
The W52 is the flagship model, with sizes from 19 to 24 inches. A shiny piano black finish and curved bezel are eye-catching, but the real highlights are a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, the f-ENGINE picture-enhancing chip, and ez Zooming, which allows viewers to change the image size. The W52 series is priced between $229.95 and $499.95, depending on screen size.
You might remember a model number like the W00, especially when a 1080p picture is thrown into the mix. This line has 26-inch ($599.95) and 30-inch ($1,399.95) models, each with the 10,000:1 contrast ratio and ez Zooming, as well as high-def and a 5ms response rate.
Finally, the L7W only has one new model—a 22-incher for $339.95. Anti-glare screen technology adds a nice touch to those super-long workdays, and a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution and 2ms response time add a little something extra to your downtime. Other specs include the 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 30cd/m2 brightness, and a 170 x 170 degree wide viewing angle.
Boasting a beautiful picture for gaming, graphics and other multimedia, all three models are now available at Best Buy, Circuit City and other retailers across the U.S.
