LG’s BD300 can currently stream thousands of Netflix titles.
Not everyone has amassed a Blu-ray movie collection yet. LG still wants you to get the most out of that player, though, by filling in the gaps with streaming content.
Earlier this year, they released the BD300, which allows users to stream Netflix selections. Now, LG says you will soon be able to enjoy YouTube and CinemaNow via its Network Blu-ray players.
CinemaNow offers access to more than 14,000 titles. There’s no word on what the HD options may be, but the service does have plenty of high-def content available. LG added access to Netflix’s HD titles via an online upgrade. We all know about the millions of videos on YouTube; that one is more about quantity than quality. It also seems like they are partnering with everyone lately!
Don’t expect to indulge in a New Year’s marathon; the new services won’t be available until the first half of 2009.
