Lexmark Announces All-in-One Printers
Wireless support and easy access make each new selection a no-brainer for back-to-school season.
July 24, 2008 | by Rachel Cericola

Lexmark’s new series of printers probably won’t pump the kids up about schoolwork. However, it could make the whole experience a little easier.

The company just introduced three new all-in-one inkjet printers. The Lexmark X5650 ($100) makes printing from other devices very easy, with a front laptop port. However, it’s the X4950 ($150) and X6650 ($130) that provide true ease-of-use, with wireless capabilities.

The X4950 allows users to print, scan and copy. Aside from wireless access, it features a 2.4-inch LCD, and offers two-sided printing. Also promising wireless access, the X6650 only prints on one side, but throws in fax features. Finally, the X5650 does print, scan, copy and fax.

“With our Home and Student line of printers, Lexmark has embedded smart and practical features so families can finally enjoy a great printing experience without the common headaches,” said Paul A. Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Consumer Printer Division. “Fast and easy to install, the newly launched AIOs help meet every family member’s unique printing needs at an affordable price point.”

All three printers will be available starting in September.
