It’s ok to be a morning person or a night owl. However, when it comes to security cameras, you need something that isn’t going to favor a certain time of day.

Legrand just announced two IR camera kits designed to capture images during the day or at night, regardless of the lighting levels.

Both the CM1029 and CM1030 Color IR Camera kits use 24 Light Emitting Diodes (LED) for those images, as well as a 3.6mm lens. With the ability to snag images up to 20 meters (about 65.6 feet), Legrand also says that each of the new cameras has a waterproof plate and an adjustable sun shade to shield it from the elements.

What makes the CM1030 kit a standout is that it also includes the Legrand Camera Module (CM1011), which supports up to four On-Q cameras.

“Our engineers worked long and hard to make sure the new IR camera kits offer one of the best price-to-performance ratios in the business,” commented Fritz Werder, VP and general manager for Legrand’s Home Systems division. “I am happy to report that the quality of the video is nothing short of remarkable, especially when compared to other low-light options. The release of this new product means our installers can now provide their customers with yet another reliable, technologically advanced security solution.”
