Loudspeaker companies have developed numerous in-wall and in-ceiling speakers to blend audio with various styles of home decor. For homeowners looking to add speakers to their shower stalls, Polk Audio and Kohler have made it an option to blend there as well.

Kohler has released an in-shower loudspeaker developed in conjunction with Polk called the SoundTile, designed to match the shape, profile and finish of Kohler’s WaterTile bodysprays and showerheads, the company says.

The SoundTile speakers are coaxial models, marine certified, with stainless steel front grille’s that keep water from flooding the speaker while not compromising the sound quality. The 4-by-4 inch escutcheon includes a hole on the lower side to allow water to drain.

Available in pairs and in a variety of Kohler finishes, the SoundTile speakers can be controlled with the company’s DTV II or other stand-alone audio system. The speakers are available starting at an MSRP of $295 per pair, depending on the finish.
