If you are looking to put a new spin on an old favorite, Koetsu USA wants to show you its Montegiro Legno Turntable.

This unit packs German engineering with an island enclosure—thanks to a bamboo-clad chassis. Don’t expect something out of “Gilligan’s Island” with this one. This unit combines wood and high-grade steel to produce a bold, full sound from your old vinyl collection.

The company says that the bamboo stabilizes and has “resonance damping properties.” All of that sits atop four steel feet, which are embedded by O-rings.

Legno’s tonearm is optional. You can select a unit from Da Vinci Audio Labs, SME Ltd. or Jelco, but it comes with a Koetsu cartridge.

Adding wood into your audio mix isn’t cheap. The Montegiro Legno Turntable is available now for $13,240. Also, the tonearm will cost you extra.
