Klipsch is getting ready to rock another Music Center speaker for your tabletop. According to the company’s website, the GiG portable speaker is coming soon.
The GiG is a 2.1 wireless music system that can fit into your backpack, briefcase, or even your hand. It includes two 1-inch full-range drivers, two 2-inch passive radiators and DSP equalization, as well as the promise to deliver up to 20 watts of sound anywhere you want it.
Klipsch is packing Bluetooth with AptX audio coding into this unit, so you can stream sound to the speaker from any smartphone, tablet or other compatible device. It should be noted that this speaker also has NFC support, so you can pair it with NFC-equipped devices with a simple wave or light tap.

Other features include a 3.5mm input jack, microphone and speakerphone options, and a built-in Lithium-Ion battery for up to 12 hours of playtime.
There’s no word on when the GiG will actually start shipping. However, it does appear to be available for pre-order on the Klipsch website. It’s listed with options for a black or white finish, with an MSRP of $199.99.
