A few days ago, Klipsch announced its “Reference Unity strategy,” a new initiative to bring some of the company’s speaker and headphone products under the Reference name. Now, they are adding one new product to that lineup. The Reference R-10B soundbar is now shipping.
The two-way soundbar has two 0.75-inch horn-loaded textile dome tweeters for high frequencies and two 3-inch polypropylene woofers for vocals and dynamic soundtracks. Those tweeters also include Klipsch’s own Tractrix Horns to cut down distortion and create a wider soundfield.
The soundbar also includes Bluetooth with aptX audio coding technology and a Dolby Digital decoder. Other features include removable feet, keyhole mounts, one optical digital input and one stereo RCA input.
Rounding out the package is an 8-inch side-firing wireless soundwoofer, which has an MDF cabinet with a slot-port design. That boasts powerful bass, no matter where you put the sub (within reason, of course).
“The R-10B establishes a new level of performance and value consumers can expect from our products as the first soundbar under our new Reference unity strategy,” said Paul Jacobs, CEO of Klipsch. “This product delivers on Klipsch’s brand promise to create powerful, detailed and emotional listening experiences while offering users the conveniences of plug n’ play audio and instant streaming using Bluetooth wireless technology.”
Klipsch is shipping the Reference R-10B soundbar now, with an MSRP of $599.99.
