There are a lot of manufacturers out there looking to untether your music. Klipsch is the latest to unleash a wirelesss product, the Klipsch Music Center KMC 3.

The KMC 3 is not only Klipsch’s first Bluetooth speaker, but it’s also the first product in the company’s newly launched Klipsch Music Center series.

Because it has Bluetooth, users can stream audio right to the speaker using iOS or Android smartphones and tablets, as well as any other Bluetooth-compatible device. Promising 130 watts of digital power, the 2.1 system also has apt-X support, two 2-inch drivers, and a dedicated 5.25-inch subwoofer.

If you have a Bluetooth device in need of charging, feel free to power it up via the KMC 3’s USB port. Otherwise, non-Bluetooth devices can connect to the speaker through its 3.5mm input.

Promising up to 26 hours of playback on eight D batteries, the KMC comes with its own remote and can “remember” up to eight previously connected Bluetooth devices.
“This product launch is extremely important given its connection with our commitment to live music,” said Paul Jacobs, CEO of Klipsch. “With the KMC 3 representing our first Bluetooth speaker, we’re eager to diversify our future offerings in the wireless audio category and help change the way individuals share the listening experience with one another.”

Available with a black or white finish, the Klipsch Music Center KMC 3 comes with a power supply and cord, a 3.5mm-to-3.5mm 1M cable, and a remote. Klipsch will start selling the product this June, with an MSRP of $399.99.
