At first glance, this kitchen might look like any other kitchen. But what’s under the surface makes for an incredible recipe, cooked up by custom electronics pro Audio Video Concepts.
The kitchen starts with one part audio, which is supplied by a Niles GXR2 multizone receiver and a pair of Niles CM710 ceiling mount speakers. These speakers are controlled by a Niles display keypad.
If the chef needs a remote closer in the kitchen, he or she can use the i-remote. From these controls, the homeowner can choose AM/FM, iPod, CDs or any TV.
The next part of this recipe is the LG 47-inch LCD. The TV is one of the center pieces of the kitchen, allowing the homeowner to watch TV (maybe a cooking show) and cook at the same time. And if he or she is not sure what to make for dinner, a recipe can be found by browsing the Internet up on the TV.
This is controlled by a Gyration Air Mouse and keyboard. If the user is in the kitchen or on the sofa, the Internet can be used as if sitting in front of the computer.
The final part of the recipe is the surround sound system on the TV. The surround sound is supplied by a Yamaha receiver, Niles DS speakers and a Paradigm subwoofer. With all components together, including the whole family, these homeowners couldn’t ask for a better recipe.
