A company named Kicker just debuted its very first Bluetooth speaker. Here’s the real kicker, though: The company has been around for quite some time.

Kicker is pretty well known for its car and marine audio products. However, now they’re looking for a spot on your tabletop. The company just introduced the Amphitheater BT2, an update to its previous Amphitheater model.

The hook on this new speaker is that it’s Kicker’s very first Bluetooth speaker. That allows you to wirelessly stream audio to the speaker from a smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth-enabled device.

It also boasts the type of sound to match the product name. Inside, the Amphitheater BT2 has 5-inch drivers, 0.75-inch silk-dome tweeters, and a 6-inch, square-reflex subwoofer. There’s also a 50-watt internal amplifier with digital signal processing (DSP).

Kicker has also added Auto Connect and Auto Play features, as well as a USB port and an auxiliary-input jack. The Amphitheater BT2 comes with its own remote or you can download the KickStart app from iTunes or the Google Play Store. The app offers volume control, as well as an 8-band equalizer, bass and treble sliders, and a tight or wide spatialization selection for soundstage control. It even has Facebook integration, so you can let your friends know what you’re listening to and when.

Kicker is selling the Amphitheater BT2 now, with an MSRP of $299.95.
