We’re not entirely sure if Kensington’s Wireless USB Docking Station is the first USB hub to go wireless. However, it does deliver on claims (via MarketWatch) that it’s USB-IF certified, and can deliver speakers, printers, keyboards, and other peripherals, all without having to connect and disconnect devices after each use.

Connect the unit to any notebook that supports Wireless USB. It has five USB ports, a DVI-I and a speaker port, which should accommodate plenty of peripherals. No set up or cable clutter is needed—everything is tucked away nice and tidy, and ready to be used at any time.

“This solution provides a new usage scenario that supports workstation functionality while enhancing consumers need for convenience, productivity and mobility in the home or office environment,” said Jeff Ravencraft, USB-IF’s president.

The Kensington Wireless USB Docking Station (SKU K33920US) will be available via Dell.com and the Kensington website by the end of this month. Expect it to cost $230.
