Home theater systems sold as packages can be pretty dull in the looks department. Don’t tell that to British manufacturer KEF.
The company is now shipping its aesthetically pleasing and intriguing KHT1005.2 Series, a 5.1 home theater speaker system featuring KEF’s ‘egg-shaped’ surround speakers. Along with those satellites—one pair for the front, one for the rear, plus a horizontal center ‘egg’—the system includes the smooth Kube-1 subwoofer.
The sub includes an 8-inch driver and 150-watt Class D amp, and has cubic dimensions of 11.5 inches tall, deep and wide.
The small-footprint satellites have the latest, and smallest version, of KEF’s Uni-Q drivers that are used in higher-end products by the brand too. These speakers come in a high-gloss black finish, and mounting brackets are included so you can pop them on a wall and save even more space.
MSRP on this chic KHT1005.2 system is $850.
