KEF X300A Speakers Can Put AirPlay and DNLA on Your Desktop
The X300A Wireless adds wire-free connectivity to the company's popular desktop option.

It’s hard to add any audio into your workspace, let alone good audio. KEF is making its previously released X300A option even more enticing, by making the speaker pair wireless.

The new X300A Wireless uses the same speaker technologies found in the original X300A speakers, but adds in both DLNA and AirPlay wireless connectivity. This means users can now stream content directly to the speakers from any iOS or Android devices. That way, you won’t have to sacrifice desktop space for additional source equipment.

Each speaker has KEF’s own Uni-Q drivers, four dedicated amplifiers (two per speaker), two discrete DACs, and a 96kHz/24-bit distortion-free digital USB connection in wired mode. KEF is also offering to help you set those speakers up properly, via a tutorial inside the company’s free app.

Other features include an EQ switch and a 3.5mm input for non-digital devices.

KEF will offer the X300A Wireless in gunmetal and linear white finishes, with an MSRP of $999 per pair.
