He likes jazz, she likes metal. Now the two musical tastes can exist—at least in the same iPod dock.
JVC says that its previously announced NX-PN7 iPod dock is now available. What makes this different from your run-of-the-mill docking station is that it plays and charges two players side-by-side.
The unit will flip-flop between portables and play the music through the dock’s speaker system to make one killer house party. There’s also a clock, timer and an AM/FM tuner, for your weather or talk fix. In case you need more material to choose from, the unit has an analog audio input for connecting other devices, and a video output so you can play any iPod video on your TV.
It’s a pretty slick looking unit. It also has an illuminated strip under each iPod, which provides a little light show, with nine different colors.
JVC doesn’t say which units can be docked, but like most in this category, we’re guessing it’s anything with the appropriate connector—including the iPhone, as pictured.
The JVC NX-PN7 is available now for $149.95.
