JVC Mobile Introduces Arsenal Speakers
New car line includes three component and four coaxial speakers.
January 08, 2007 | by Rachel Cericola

JVC Mobile has introduced seven new speakers to its Arsenal Series. Three speakers, CS-ARS500, CS-ARS650 and CS-ARS680 are component speakers. The rest of the four, CS-AR500, CS-AR650, CS-AR680 and CS-AR690 are coaxial speakers.

View more of our CES special coverage Along with a new in-line crossover, the tweeter voice coil within the woofer delivers point source radiation. All Arsenal speakers have a sensitivity of 92dB/Wm.

A slim design allows for installation in wider range of cars. This is enabled by application of neodymium magnets and aluminum frames. The CS-ARS650 and CS-ARS680 include adapters to expand the range of cars where they may be installed. Angle adjustable tweeter expands installation possibilities. Tweeter voice coil within the woofer delivers point source radiation.

Also, hemp fiber provides natural mid and high frequency sound, creates a smooth transition between woofer and tweeter crossover frequencies and is strong and light enough for more power capability and stunning sound quality.

A T3 Chassis (Thermal Transfer Technology) transfers heat away from the voice coil to the speaker’s aluminum basket by connecting the neodymium magnet structure to the basket using a layer of heat transfer silicon. The aluminum basket acts like a radiator for the T3 process providing the best protection against an overheated voice coil, especially under high current loads. With Radiating Equalizer, the center piece on an Arsenal component driver is connected to the speaker’s T3 structure, and dissipates heat from inside of the motor structure. Its design also blends and focuses high-frequency sound waves toward the listener’s ears.

A Solid Neodymium Disc Magnet is unlike conventional magnets, which radiate magnetic force in all direction. The Solid Disc Magnet focuses more magnetic power upwards toward the speaker’s voice coil—boasting more power handling and SPL.

  • $169.95 to $319.95
  • 7 models in series
  • Sensitivity of 92dB/Wm
