JVC’s XV-BP11
JVC has added a bargain Blu-ray player in time for the holiday shopping season, the entry-level XV-BP11.
The XV-BP11 is a Profile 1.1 Blu-ray player that stands just 1.5 inches tall. JVC didn’t indicate any of the trendy video streaming capabilities—Netflix, Amazon, etc.—on this player, so perhaps they’ll have a step-up model on the way soon.
Features include a front-panel USB connection, native support for AVCHD (H.264) video, HDMI 1.3 connectivity, composite video and coaxial audio and analog audio connections.
The XV-BP11 can play BD-Rom, BD-R/RE, DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, Audio CD, CD-R/RW discs. Supported formats include: AVCHD, WMV, JPEG, MP3, WMA, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS HD Master Audio.
The XV-BP11 is currently shipping. MSRP: $199.95
