Thin is in, which is making me drool and a bit self-conscious all at once…

Today, JVC announced super-thin TVs—to the beat of 1.5 inches deep. That’s borderline anorexic!

Sure, that measurement is just in certain spots of the TV, but the max is 2.9 inches, if you’re going to be a stickler.

Two models will be available this summer: the 42-inch LT-42SL89 and the 46-inch LT-46SL89.  Both offer 1920 x 1080p resolution and built-in tuners.

One last feature, which seems to be a recurring theme: JVC says that the units suck up a lot less energy, thanks to a more efficient power supply and fanless heat dissipation system.

Prices won’t be announced until this summer.
