Think 3-D is must-see for your home system? You won’t have to wait much longer.
JVC just announced that it is working with Sensio on the DLA-RS2, a 3-D projection line that is scheduled to launch next year. Designed for at-home use, the system will allow consumers to experience 1080p 3-D content from the comfort of the couch.
The DLA-RS2 includes JVC’s Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier (D-ILA) technology, a 1920 x 1080 native resolution, and a native contrast ratio of 30,000:1.
Naturally, JVC will make the hardware, with Sensio’s 3-D processor on the inside. “SENSIO is recognized as a pioneer in the 3D industry, and JVC is the leading manufacturer in high end home cinema,” says Lon Mass, JVC’s VP of marketing. “Combining our two technologies into a single, simple system for the consumer will have broad impact in the marketplace, already thirsty for 3D display.”
JVC will show off two DLA-RS2 projectors with SENSIO’s S3D-PRO starting today, at EH Expo West in Long Beach, Calif. The products will be developed and sold starting next year.
