Joey Roth has been putting his creative spin on products since 2008’s Sorapot. It’s now sold out, but a teapot probably wouldn’t do much for your home theater setup anyway. His latest creation is a different story, however. Behold, the Ceramic Subwoofer.

Designed as a match for Roth’s Ceramic Speakers, the subwoofer has a super-clean, stylish design that packs in a 6.5-inch driver, a passive radiator, and a 50-watt Class D amplifier. Other features include a frequency range of 40 Hz – 200 Hz and an enclosure composed of stainless steel, porcelain, and Baltic birch plywood.

“Although I didn’t intend it, my speaker system has been seen as the anti-Jambox/Beats/etc., because of its simple design, basic materials and purely analog sound,” Roth says about his product.

Roth is currently taking orders for the Ceramic Subwoofer, which is priced at $695. For an extra $400, you can also throw in a pair of the matching speakers. The first production run will be 300 units, which should start shipping in December 2012. If you don’t make the initial cut, Roth says that more should be coming after the New Year.
