Some people love mixing and matching speakers. Then, there’s a whole crop of music fans that want the mixing and matching done by the manufacturer. JBL has just matched up two affordable new options for its Cinema Series.
The latest models in this speaker line are the Cinema 610 and Cinema 510 systems. Both offer 5.1 sound with plug-and-play simplicity. Just pick your system and attach it to any A/V receiver with the included speaker cables. Both sets also have wall brackets if you want to mount any speakers, as well as a matching subwoofer that can put boom into your room—without overtaking it.
The JBL Cinema 610 has an 8-inch bass reflex, 100-watt powered subwoofer, four identical satellites and a dedicated center-channel speaker. The 510 has slightly smaller satellites that are all the same size, and drops the sub down to 6.5 inches and 60 watts. Both subs have volume and phase control for tweaking to match your room.
JBL is selling the Cinema 610 and 510 now, priced at $349 and $249, respectively.
