JBL wants to get in on the holiday speaker action with the new introduction of desktop speakers.
Just in time for Black Friday mania, JBL announced the release of the Jembe speakers. The company describes them as lightweight and able to deliver considerably more sound than their small footprint would suggest. They’re just a shave over 5-inches high—smaller than a coffee can (does anyone still buy coffee in cans?).
The Jembe speakers are designed to work with a computer (desktop or laptop) or as part of a stereo system when connected to a tablet or smartphone. They can be connected to an iPad etc. or computer through a 3.5 mm jack.
The speaker use JBL’s own Slipstream port technology which was designed to improve bass performance.
JBL says the speakers cost $69/pr but you can buy them online directly from JBL here for $59/pr
