Just yesterday, we were showing off Harman Kardon’s two new speaker packages. Now, one of Harman’s other brands, JBL, has another two sets to make your decision-process that much more cool and confusing.
Both the JBL Cinema 300 (right) and Cinema 500 (below) speaker systems are more affordable, priced at $499 and $699, respectively. Also, both of these sets feature five speakers and an 8-inch, 150-watt subwoofer that looks eerily like Darth Vader’s spare space helmet.
Designed to deliver theater-quality sound at home, both systems are supposedly Harman’s smallest speaker systems to date. Each one boasts a 360-degree soundfield, with JBL’s Weave aesthetics and dual PolyPlas cones in the center channel. The 500 also throws in a lower crossover point in the surrounding satellite speakers via dual 3-inch PolyPlas cones.
The JBL Cinema 300 and the JBL Cinema 500 should be available now, but are currently on backorder on JBL.com.

One is a subsidiary of DTS, with the other looking to gain traction via Indiegogo.
