With the Consumer Electronics Show just a few short weeks away, we are starting to see a flood of products coming for next year. If 2009 is your year for on-wall speakers, you might want to check out Jamo’s A 804.
An array of speakers around the floor give you an extra spot to put the mail, but Jamo says this slick, slender unit can get the job done, without sucking up a lot of space. Also, it’s space on your wall, so you will only have to move a few of those sad clown photos—but just a few!
The A 804 measures 27.6 x 6.3 x 3.9 inches. Also, at 3.9 inches deep, the unit won’t get in your way, no matter how small the space. Inside, the unit has a .75-inch silk-dome tweeter, a 4.5-inch midrange and two 4.5-inch woofers. The company also says two bassreflex ports make the on-wall sound stable and loud.
“We expect the A 804 to be really popular with the ever-growing group of people who want more theater-like sound than current wall-mounted speakers can reproduce,” says Tamara Douce, Jamo’s marketing manager. “Plus, with its ease of mounting, anyone can have them up and working in no time—which is always important.”
Expect to see the A 804 available sometime next month for $449 each. For now, there’s a peek at the product below.
