Earlier this year, Jamo was showing off its R 907 tower speaker. Now we are seeing it again, and it’s certainly worth a reminder.
This unit is basically the “Mini Me” of Jamo’s R 909. The company says it’s smaller and also more affordable, making it perfect for those that want big sound in a smaller space. The unit also boasts dipolar engineering, which means sound comes out of the back as well as the front. You can even “see” the sound, since the design gives you a peek at the two woofers, the midrange driver, and a tweeter.
Thanks to 12-inch woofers, the unit is 20 percent shorter and 15 percent slimmer than its predecessor. It’s also available in glossy black or red finishes. Other specs include a sensitivity rating of 89dB and a frequency response of 35 to 30,000Hz.
As far as we know, the pricing still hasn’t changed. The R 907 still runs around $9,000 per pair.
