Some would rather be rammed by a yak than watch any more “Jackass” stunts. However, you have to admit that the recent announcement that “Jackass 2.5” would be available online before video sounds like it makes smart business sense.
This is the first time that a studio-backed feature would make its video debut online—and for free. “Jackass 2.5” will be available free via Blockbuster from December 19 through the 31st.
Love it or hate it, it’s still a cool concept that they are turning to the web before video. As Wired says, the short-attention span format of this flick is perfect for Internet viewers.
“Jackass 2.5” includes all of the stunts that were too gross for the first DVD release. It will be available (in 16:9 with Dolby Digital!) for purchase on December 26 for $29.99.
