Having the ability to stream iPod content throughout the house is super cool, but what if you decide to ditch that iPod for another portable? iPort recognizes this need to upgrade to cooler gadgets, and has launched a new design to accommodate the iPhone.
Each of iPort’s five IW (in-wall) models features a docking faceplate, so you can use touchwheel iPods or iPhone. Whichever one is docked will also receive a power boost.
Speaking of a boost, all of the IW and FS models now feature video browsing, which allows you to view, navigate and select iPod video menus via an iPort that’s integration with a touchscreen or wall-panel controller.
The basic iPort starts at $200 and goes up to $1,100 (not including installation). If you’ve already invested in Apple’s pricey portable, is this that much of a larger leap?
