Well, it’s been almost a month since the Apple iPad has been in our lives.

We’ve already focused on some must-have apps for the new device, and even seen some homes already incorporating iPad as a home control device.

Today comes the version of iPad that some of you have been holding out for. It features both WiFi and 3G service, so you’re almost always connected (wherever AT&T is connected).

Like the WiFi iPad, the 3G version comes in three models—16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage capacities. Just bump the prices up $130 bucks for each model over the WiFi version—to $629, $729 and $829 for the 3G iPad of your choice.

There’s no contract involved, but with 3G you need to add a data plan on top of that (unless for some reason you don’t want to actually use the 3G). AT&T is offering two options for that—one for 250MB data per month at $14.99, and an unlimited data per month plan that’s $29.99.

So basically you can take the piles and piles of money Apple has already made on iPad—considering it sold 300,000 on the first day alone—and add gobs more, with AT&T getting a nice share too.

If you purchase online from Apple, it says shipping will be by May 7th.

I almost sprung for the 3G but opted for wifi only and sprint overdrive because we needed to power multiple devices at our retail events for thebowpop.com
