Google TV is making it fairly simple to surf the web on any big-screen display. But what about if you just want to stream a little HD video?

IOGEAR is making that incredibly easy, thanks to the new Wireless HD Computer to TV Kit (GUWAVKIT2). This is the company’s third-generation PC-to-TV product, so they’ve obviously had some time to iron out the bugs—as well as add in high-def support.

Now that high-def is 720p, but it’s still darn pretty. The device streams content from your PC to any HDTV, monitor or projector up to 30 feet away. That means you can watch movies, web clips, view photos, and even listen to music, all in HD. It even allows for video calling, if you have that setup.

“IOGEAR’s Wireless HD Computer to TV Kit utilizes the latest Ultra-WideBand (UWB) wireless USB technology to provide our customers with the most stable and interference resistant multimedia streaming experience available,” said Bill Nguyen, IOGEAR’s director of marketing. “This standard means professionals can feel secure streaming sensitive materials, and entertainment enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite content on an immersive big screen.”

The Wireless HD Computer to TV Kit hooks to the TV via one HDMI cable. Compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP, the Wireless HD Computer to TV Kit (GUWAVKIT2) is available now for $179.95 (MSRP).

That’s one awesome device for streaming from computers to an HDTV. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative though, I got just the device for you. Check out the Netgear Push2TV product. This device makes use of the HDMI port on the HDTV and acts as a wireless adapter, displaying what you see on your computer on to your HDTV. So instead of connecting the computer via an HDMI cable, the Netgear Push2TV takes its place, and wirelessly streams the contents of your computer even if they’re in separate rooms in the house. To know more about Netgear’s Push2TV product, just check it out here, http://bit.ly/bByST7. I’m sure you’ll love it too.
