IOGEAR’s Bluetooth Audio Transport
November 15, 2007 | by Arlen Schweiger

Who wouldn’t want better audio quality in their A/V gear? For portables, any improvements are welcomed, and the latest comes from IOGEAR.

The company has teamed with SRS Labs to incorporate SRS’ Wow HD technology into its new Bluetooth Audio Transport, which, you guessed it, aims to improve audio performance of content played on any Bluetooth-enabled audio device.

The audio you get wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled MP3 players, mobile phones, computers and even home stereo system will feature greater immersive realism and improved bass response, IOGEAR says, with the addition of the Audio Transport. The max wireless range for the transport is 33 feet.

IOGEAR’s device comes with a button control and microphone to use with Bluetooth-enabled A2DP mobile phones, so you can pick up phone calls while listening to a song, even if the phone is in your pocket. Five controls buttons give quick access for functions such as play/pause, track selection and volume control.

A rechargeable battery built in serves up 6 hours of play time, and you just have to recharge with a USB port of any computer.
