Adding in new AV products doesn’t have to be a chore. More importantly, it doesn’t need to be expensive. IOGEAR just added a few options into its AVIOR Series of distribution products, starting at $199.99.
Headlining the new announcements are the AVIOR 4-Port HD Audio/Video Switch (GHSW8141) and the AVIOR 8-Port HD Audio/Video Switch (GHSW8181). Pictured on the right, IOGEAR has priced these at $199.99 and $399.99, respectively.
Both support 3D, making it easy to add a 3D TV or Blu-ray 3D player into the mix. Even more importantly, you can add up to eight different HDMI sources—or connect one single source to as many as eight HDTVs. Other features include support for 1080p, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, as well as an RS-232 port on each, which allows for integration into a whole-house setup.
Add in the newly announced AVIOR 4-Port HD Audio/Video Splitter (GHSP8114) or the AVIOR 8-Port HD Audio/Video Splitter (GHSP8118), and you can have as many as 64 HDMI signals on the 4-port model and 512 (!) on the 8-port switch. Those are priced at $249.99 and $549.99, respectively.
IOGEAR is also planning additional products for the AVIOR Series, including the rack-mountable AVIOR GHMS8044 4x4 HD Audio/Video Matrix Switch with RS-232 and multi-channel digital audio. This connects up to four 1080p source devices and routes them to any four connected HD displays. Priced at $899.99, this product also supports 1080p, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and also has the RS-232 port.
All of the above products and the AVIOR Wireless HD Kit (GWAK8141K), as well as other adapters and wireless Bluetooth and A/V keyboards will be on display at next month’s CEDIA Expo. The show will run from September 8-10, 2011, in Indianapolis, Ind.
