Interactive Magazine Coming for iPhone
"VIVmag" plans to expand -- and target on-the-go females.
August 22, 2008 | by Rachel Cericola

With the Kindle getting such positive response, why not launch a digital magazine just for iPhone and iPod touch users?

That’s sort of the idea behind ”VIVmag." In case you didn’t know, “VIVmag” is already in production and available for download. Now the company plans to put its interactive, digital-only lifestyle magazine on iPhone and iPod touch devices everywhere. Expect the magazine to show up at your favorite download store this fall.

Don’t get too excited. The magazine is specifically targeted to women. Unless you’re looking for topics like “Breakfast: The New Dinner?” and “Image Rx: Aroma Therapy,” you probably won’t crack the digital cover on this one. Since the magazine is already digital, the move makes sense.

Apparently the format is working for them so far. If you sign up online now, you can get a free subscription. Otherwise, “VIVmag” will be available for the iPod touch and iPhone starting September 1.
