Going across town can seem like cross-country with all of the endless screaming and chatter. iLuv wants to keep the peace no matter how long the journey, with the i1166.

This 9-inch portable multimedia player can handle almost any type of media—even when it comes from your iPod. The unit plays photos, as well as plenty of music and video formats, including DivX. Use a memory card, USB, or the unit’s built-in iPod dock, which can play all of the music and video you have stored, while charging that portable for later use.

Once you reach your destination, the i1166 can be hooked to a TV, making it a nice travel companion for all ages and attention spans. The unit also comes with a remote for easy operation.

Expect to see the i1166 pop up on retail shelves starting in March. There’s no word on how much the quiet will cost you.
