Designed to funk up your iPhone, iPod and other portables, the i80 series includes very sparkly earphones, cases and clips. It’s almost like wearing jewelry—really tacky jewelry.

The i83 ($39.99) is a set of jeweled earphones. An extra $30 will get you the same headphones with an in-line volume control and holster case. Holster case? I guess you need to be ready for those dance-offs…

The i82/i81 ($69.99) offer shiny and hands-free control of devices, as well as a microphone for talking or practice for your “American Idol” tryout. The i82 must be the cream of the crop, at $80. That price will score you an iPhone holster case (dance off!), allowing for syncing and charging without having to remove the device from its sparkly surroundings.

I guess there’s a market, but I would just go for the Bedazzler. At least it says some effort was involved on your part.

A few of the models are available now in time to entice last minute Valentine’s shoppers. However, the i80, i81 and i82 aren’t available until next month.
