The iLuv i169 also includes an iPod dock; the i168 does not.
For those that want to sample HD Radio, iLuv has announced two cheaper product offerings, the i168 and the i169.
The i169 ($169.99) combines an iPod dock and dual alarm clock. Using PLL digital tuning technology, the unit has a display to show song name, brand, frequency, and other info. The dock will charge your iPod while you play music or scroll through one of the unit’s 30 programmable presets.
The i168 ($89.99) has the same functions, but there’s no dock—and it’s almost half the price.
“HD Radio technology greatly expands AM and FM broadcasting capabilities with crystal-clear digital sound, text on the screen and hundreds of new digital FM channels,” said Howard Kim, iLuv Marketing Manager. “We are pleased to offer this technology in our distinctive products.”
The i168 is available now; the i169 will be available this month.
