If you have automated sprinklers, you may as well use them properly. Hunter Industries has just launched a new web-based tool to help homeowners do just that—and it’s free.

The Hunter Run Time Calculator is a free, web-based tool that can help homeowners program Hunter controllers and create efficient irrigation schedules.

Users can setup an account within minutes, which will include a few details about the landscape. The Run Time Schedule will even take local watering restrictions into account. Users can view, print and email schedules at anytime. If you need any documents for actual controller programming, those are also available.

“Calculating an irrigation schedule is a difficult task because of the many variables involved,” said Phil Robisch, Hunter’s product technical resource manager. “This calculator aims to de-mystify the process and give users a starting point for how to take care of their landscape while using the correct amount of water.”
