Can’t get enough of products like the speaker/light combo? Now the minds behind the lamp have teamed up with Hunter Fan Company to blow sounds from your ceiling fan.

Of course, the Hunter Concert Breeze Fan & Sound System isn’t for the serious audiophile—unless it’s one that wants sound in their ceiling fans. Instead, the idea behind this product is that you won’t have to worry about speaker boxes and wire clutter. While the unit circulates air, it can also spin a few sounds, courtesy of Soundolier’s wireless technology.

“This is a historic product introduction—there’s no other way to put it,” says Brendan Byrne, senior VP for Hunter. “With the ceiling fan, the speaker is optimally located in the center of the room. The music literally showers over everyone in the room.”

Hey—it sounds like a great idea. Using a proprietary 2.4GHz wireless audio system, the system promises sound up to 300 feet away. Just connect the Soundolier Maestro wireless transmitter to any audio source, such as a TV, MP3 player, or stereo setup. Four selectable stereo signal channels allow you to tweak to avoid interference.

Hunter plans on blasting a lot of audio-enhanced air with this idea; there are models for indoor and outdoor applications. No pricing has been announced yet, but the Hunter Concert Breeze System should be available in retail stores early this year.
